This fragrance retains the bold and complex character of the original but introduces a smoother, more elegant profile with the addition of iris, which adds a creamy, floral depth. Interlude Black Iris is designed to evoke a sense of balance amidst chaos, blending intense, smoky, and woody notes with a softer, more harmonious edge.
Interlude Black Iris opens with a fresh and aromatic blend of bergamot, rosemary, and violet leaf. The bergamot offers a sharp, citrusy brightness, while rosemary and violet leaf introduce a green, herbal freshness that immediately draws you in.
The heart of the fragrance is where the scent takes on its distinctive character, featuring the luxurious and creamy note of orris (iris) root. This note adds a floral softness and a powdery texture that complements the warm, resinous blend of amber, frankincense, myrrh, and labdanum.
